Sun, December 4, 2005 - 9:48 PMSomething Tells me Rodger is a further east than Spencer would like. :) FWIW I do all my own repairs on my 77 FXE and have since 1977.....Remember oil is cheaper then Parts! and keeping everything well maintained is a must. My shovel has never let me down, and it DOES NOT LEAK. In fact today after giving my scooter a big hug and wash n wax we rode around the city... I just love all the attention my bike gets. She is a beauty. -

Mon, December 5, 2005 - 11:38 AM"Remember oil is cheaper then Parts! " I live by that motto. I change my oil religiously typically right before the 3K mile mark. I really like the SYN III oil..been using it for since it came out.

Mon, February 27, 2006 - 6:07 PMSpence,
You might want to check out Evil Twins in Livermore (that's a little farther out than East Bay, but it's only about 20 minutes from Fremont or from Hayward & 30 minutes from Oakland. I think they work on everything & they're definitely cheaper than HD.
They're brothers (twins - evil of course). I haven't had any problems with them and haven't heard anything bad. Maybe someone else knows about them.
They're on North Livermore Ave, just off of the I-580.
